Ongoing support for DeFi teams and institutional users
Ongoing Web3 security advisory
Keep security expertise close as your systems change.
New integrations, releases and protocol changes create decisions throughout the year. I work with your team on a recurring basis, reserving time to understand your systems, review upcoming work and follow through on security questions.
You get direct access to me within an agreed engagement, with clear priorities, reserved capacity and response expectations.
Discuss ongoing security support
Where I can help
- Review architecture and trust assumptions before implementation.
- Assess proposed integrations and changes to external protocols your team relies on.
- Help define the scope of an audit or focused security review.
- Work through findings and remediation with developers.
- Review relevant upgrades and changes to privileged controls.
- Explain technical risks and open questions to engineering and business stakeholders.
How we work together
Agree on priorities. We identify the systems, decisions and recurring work where security input is most useful.
Reserve capacity. The engagement specifies the time available each month, meeting cadence, communication channel and response expectations.
Maintain a review queue. We prioritize requests against the available capacity and agree on changes when urgent work arrives.
Keep the work visible. You receive a monthly summary of completed reviews, open findings, outstanding decisions and proposed priorities.
What the engagement includes
- An initial context and architecture review within the agreed onboarding scope.
- Recurring working sessions with your team.
- Written analysis or review notes for agreed tasks.
- Follow-up on findings and technical questions within the reserved capacity.
- A monthly review of priorities and ongoing needs.
Clear boundaries
Monthly capacity, response windows and deliverables are agreed before the engagement begins. Larger audits, substantial new codebases and work beyond that capacity are scoped separately.
Fractional advisory is not a promise of continuous monitoring or round-the-clock incident response. If your team needs those services, we identify the requirement and agree on suitable coverage separately.
Questions before we start
What is fractional security advisory?
It is recurring access to senior security expertise without hiring a full-time security engineer. We reserve capacity for architecture discussions, integration reviews, protocol changes and follow-up on findings.
How is the retainer scoped and priced?
We agree on monthly capacity, meeting cadence, communication channels and response expectations based on your review queue. The scope and fee are agreed before starting; larger audits and work beyond the reserved capacity are quoted separately.
Does the retainer include a full smart contract audit?
Not automatically. Focused reviews can fit within the agreed capacity, while a larger audit or substantial new codebase needs its own scope and schedule.
Is this continuous monitoring or emergency incident response?
No. The advisory engagement covers agreed review work and response windows. Continuous monitoring and round-the-clock incident response require separate coverage.
Who will work with us, and what will we receive?
You work directly with JohnnyTime. Deliverables include written analysis for agreed tasks, recurring working sessions, follow-up on findings and a monthly summary of completed work, open questions and priorities.
Can we discuss confidential systems?
Yes, within agreed confidentiality and access arrangements. We settle any NDA requirements before sensitive material is shared and define what information is needed for the review.
Tell me where your team needs regular security input.
Share your current systems, upcoming work and the security decisions that keep returning. We'll discuss whether a recurring engagement fits the workload and my availability.
